College City Beverage is thrilled to toast Badger Hill Brewing on their brand new location in Shakopee. Badger Hill isn’t simply a brewery; it’s a place designed to share songs and stories, all centered around good beer, delicious coffee, and soulful music.

How did this come to be? Let’s take a brief journey through a recent interview with Chris Cole, the owner of Badger Hill Brewing.

Chris’s story began in Belgium, where he developed an appreciation for quality beer. The transition from corporate America to the beer industry was natural for him, as he was drawn to the sense of community that breweries cultivated. His passion led him to consult for various breweries, including Badger Hill. Fast forward to today, Chris has gone from being an external consultant to taking the reins of Badger Hill.

The new Badger Hill location opened on July 1st and is off to a cracking start. They’re going steady, and they’re only warming up! What’s even better? They’re sharing the building with Bravis, a local Shakopee business renowned for its modern Mexican street food. It’s like having the world’s biggest food truck serving phenomenal food right next door. And yes, you can enjoy that mouth-watering taco with a cold beer on the patio. 🌮🍺

A day at Badger Hill? It begins with a hot cup of coffee accompanied by breakfast pastries and burritos, followed by a bustling day of brewing. The brewery is designed to encourage creativity, offering a variety of beers that tie directly into the local community’s palate. Future brewing plans are hush-hush, but rest assured, variety and quality will always be on the table.

But what really stirs up Chris’s emotions is the experience that Badger Hill provides. It’s about creating a fantastic place for patrons, a place where people can gather, share stories, enjoy music, and of course, relish the beers. If you’ve got a pet pooch, feel free to bring them along to the patio while you sip on your favorite brew.

Speaking of favorite brews, Traitor, Badger Snack, Blood Orange Traitor, and the Paisley Hazy are crowd favorites. And yes, the much-anticipated coffee will be available soon. ☕️🌞

But what’s beer without some tunes? Every Monday night, Badger Hill features a singer-songwriter spotlight where individuals can share their music. There are also plans to diversify the music with jazz brunches, bluegrass Sundays, and storytelling nights. Because at Badger Hill, it’s all about the sharing of songs and stories.
