With the seasons changing and the weather becoming warmer, we’re ready to pull out the patio furniture, kick back, and relax outside with a refreshing brew. So here are a few up-and-coming spring/summer seasonal beer releases. From fresh saisons to heavier american wheat ales, these brews will certainly quench your thirst on a warm day. Odell St. Lupulin

A mystical legend echoes in our brewhouse – that of St. Lupulin (loop-you-lin) the archetypal hophead. He devoted endless summers to endless rows of hops, tending to the flowers and the beloved resin within – lupulin. Extraordinary oils in this yellow resin provide this dry-hopped extra pale ale with an undeniably pleasing floral aroma and clean, crisp finish. One sip of this seasonal summer ale and you too, will believe.

Oskar Blues GUBNA

Each year GUBNA takes on a personality of its own. We seek out the most exciting and best available hops from each individual season to create a potent and complex Imperial IPA. GUBNA is packed with Rye and North American Pale Malt and accented with Munich Malt to give a spicy and flavorful backbone to support loads of kettle hops driving the IBUs to triple digits.

Shock Top Lemon Shandy

Our Lemon Shandy is a unique take on the classic Shandy that is distinctly Shock Top. Brewed with two row and six row malted barley and five different types of hops, this Belgian-Style Wheat Ale is then combined with citrus peels, coriander, natural lemonade flavor and a hint of sugar for a subtle sweetness. The end result of our Lemon Shandy is an incredibly refreshing, crisp and smooth beer that hits the spot.

Stone Saison

In spring 2011, Stone bought the farm, literally, taking over 19 acres of fertile Southern California soil where we now grow pristine fruits, vegetables, herbs and more for our Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens restaurants. A taste of our homespun farm-to-tableism is provided in this farmhouse ale stoked with lemon zest, plus lemon thyme and lavender straight from Stone Farms. This spring-to-summer saison is citric and herbal on the palate with a dry, peppery finish. Thanks to the infusion of fresh West Coast ingredients, this isn’t your everyday saison. It’s our saison—100% Stone. Celebrate the sunny season with an authentic taste of our farm and, with it, our commitment to quality.

Summit Maibock

This traditional German style earned the nickname “liquid bread” because it was brewed by monks to help them get through Lenten fasting. Moravian 37 malts and Czech Saaz hops give it a toasted sweetness with a little spice in the finish.

Tallgrass Halcyon Unfiltered Wheat

Halcyon (hal-see-ahn) is an unapologetic American-style wheat beer with a taste like the finest days of summer. Our brewery is situated on the buckle of the “wheat-belt”, so this beer means something special to us. Halcyon Unfiltered Wheat is the result of our Midwestern angst, an all-American wheat with real Kansas-grown grain in the brew. We start with raw Kansas white wheat in the mix to give it a nice edge, but what really makes it shine is the hops. We use “hop-bursting” of Citra Hops late in the brewing process and this gives Halcyon a palate of tropical fruit flavors & aromas with a bright and refreshing taste like the best days of summer (swimmin’ hole and inner tube sold separately).

Widmer Brothers Citra Blonde

Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a golden ale, but that’s not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer that’s full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.
