Account Feature: Twin Point Tavern
Twin Point Tavern is located at 11199 Stillwater Blvd N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042. They are a family owned restaurant/bar and liquor store. We recently went to visit them to learn more about their story. What we noticed first and foremost was the friendly space. We are so lucky to partner with such great accounts. Here is a bit more about Twin Point Tavern:
Dennis and Tracy LaCroix have owned Twin Point Tavern since 1984. Dennis knew he always wanted to be an entrepreneur. He grew up in bakeries and restaurants with his mom and dad and knew what it was going to take to run a restaurant. He ran across the 3-lined listing in the Sunday paper and it just so happened that they had been here 2 weeks before on a trip to Wisconsin. They came back through on what Dennis remembers as a Monday and took over April 17th, 1984.
Nicole (LaCroix) Klingsporn (Dennis and Tracy’s daughter) learned how to walk holding on to bar stools. She grew up around the regulars and loves everything about the establishment. Nicole has run the business for the last 5 years so her dad could take a step back. Although she has worked at Twin Point her entire live she left her job as a high school teacher to keep the business in the family and pick up where her dad left off. She hasn’t looked back. She loves the business and the people.
What attributes to your success?
Dennis says, “It’s been around since 1933 – this has been a staple in the community. We work 7 days per week and are committed to our patrons and the restaurant. We build friendships and relationships – it’s like a family. We go through the good times and bad times. We’ve been to weddings and funerals. We love our Twin Point family.”
Dennis often wishes he would have kept record of their names of all regular patrons, it would be quite the story over the years. Even retired beer reps still stop in. The relationships that they build are long-lasting.
The On and Off Sale with the liquor store also helps the maintain the success of their business. It is a unique business plan and is most convenient for their customers. They try to be all smiles, greeting everyone who visits.
“We provide a good quality product at a reasonable price and most of all treat our customers with respect. Respect is the most important” Dennis prides.
What is the best part of partnering with CCB?
“Oh my gosh, they’re amazing. They come with ideas and solutions. They really have our back,” says Nicole. “It’s all about the relationship. The relationship that they’ve built with the retailers. If you need anything they’ve always stepped up to the plate. POS or signage or anything. They always put their best foot forward.”
“I’ve known them for a zillion years.” Dennis says.
These guys are BIG fans of Budweiser (which we certainly appreciate!) and have loyalty around the product and CCB. Make sure you stop and enjoy a cold Bud on your next visit to Lake Elmo. Other items on their menu include their burgers. They’ve been voted the best burger in St. Croix Valley for the 4th year in a row. The make a good broasted chicken and also tote these awards over the last few years – they aren’t joking around!
- Best Liquor Store
- Best Sports Bar
- Best Beer Selection
- Best Bloody Mary (made with Budweiser, of course!)
A huge shout out to Dennis and Nicole for spending time with us – it was great getting to know you and we are so grateful to partner with you.
