Tell us about your position and how long you’ve been with CCB:

He has worked for CCB for ten years, starting in January of 2008 in sales. He has been a Systems Analyst in the IT Department for 2.5-3 years.
Now working in IT and originally being in sales and delivery, when issues come up it is helpful that he has that background.

A typical day looks like:

He is always in some way “on-call”, usually in the mornings or later in the week he is the most busy. He helps with invoices and bill-backs. He runs a lot of the reports for sales and distribution before they go out on route. Towards the afternoon he starts getting into more projects – the big picture side. Then it starts to ramp back up as people start coming back in, issues that have come up when they were out.

What do you like most about working for CCB?

He used to work for a larger corporation, but he likes the family atmosphere of CCB. Here you are part of the family, and the family is great to work with. You really get to know the people you work for and with.

What do you find most rewarding?

“Being able to help people, I get a lot of frustrated people dealing with technology. So just being able to help alleviate their frustrations. I also love problem solving and thinking of different ways to do things.”

What do you find most challenging?

“It could be the exact same as the above, issues or frustrations that you may not be able to resolve. One in the same.”

What is your favorite product CCB distributes?

“Budweiser. Loyal to that, the perfect beer. When we got to visit Budweiser in St. Louis and try it fresh, it was like liquid heaven.”

What do you like to do in your free time?

“I grew up a big baseball fan – specifically a big Cubs fan. My grandpa used to work for Lennox as a sales rep out of the Chicago area. When I was born, my grandpa and grandma had moved to Iowa. I remember my first memories of baseball were watching Cubs baseball games with him. He always said when the Cubs won the world series, we were going to go. He passed away before that happened, and it took 108 years for them to win the world series in 2016. That was a huge deal in our family.”

What is something people may not know about you?

“I’m a lover of music, and I love playing cards. My other grandpa got us hooked on playing ‘31’ with nickels. We would go eat at Pizza Hut and then come home and play cards with grandpa. I really enjoy just the aspect of playing cards with the different thoughts and strategies behind that.”
Driven to Serve As we all have experienced, whenever you need Jim’s help, he is ready, willing and able. He stops what he is doing to help you out.
Positive Energy Jimmy is another person who always is in a good mood, smiling, joking and providing comradery.
Caring and Compassionate It’s easy to see this quality in Jim again as he puts your needs in front of his.
Passion to Grow Jim has a great deal of knowledge in his position and when a new challenge comes along that he can’t resolve right away, he digs in. He takes time, even time at home to resolve the issue.
Accountability to the Team Everything mentioned about shows his accountability to the Team, we are not the Cubs, maybe we are in 2nd place to them though.
