Meet The Team – Keith Alexon
Have you ever enjoyed a nice cold Budweiser at Defeat of Jesse James Days? How about a Summit EPA at a local concert? Then you need to send a thank you card to Keith Alexon.
Alexon works as the Special Events Coordinator for the College City Beverage team. Any large event not run by our sales team, Alexon helps to make happen (think Town Festival vs. Canterbury Park Festival). We help bring great beer to approximately 60 events every year, with 20 of those requiring large volumes of beer and N/A products.
The majority of his work, according to Alexon, involves “meeting with clients or the people who are in charge of the event.” He must acquire every useful detail from the client to let them know how College City Beverage can best meet the needs of their event. This process might require several meetings, but it’s worth it when a special event can exclusively carry our quality products.
After sorting out the details, Alexon then works with several other team members to order beer, create signage, arrange special deliveries, and set up promotional and event signage.
How did Alexon come to master all these details? We like it has something to do with the fact that he’s been with College City Beverage for 18 years.
Alexon joined our team working nights in the warehouse, and spent 8 years there, eventually supervising and moving to the trucks. 10 more years in sales gave him the networking experience and product knowledge necessary to excel in his current position. He shares a trade secret, “Our products are great, so a lot of times they sell themselves.”
Commenting on College City Beverage’s work on special events, Alexon says, “We try to provide great customer service, especially showing up when we’re needed and making sure the event goes smoothly.”
Alexon’s favorite part of his current role is the variety. He says, “I like that there’s a difference every day. There’s no repetition, and it’s nice that every day is possibly something different. I might be loading beer one day, and sitting in a sales meeting the next day.”
Let’s raise a cold one to the folks who fuel your fun!
