Summit 30th Anniversary Series
Summit brewing is celebrating 30 years of creativity, consistency, and community.
According to the brewery, “Summit Brewing Company is raising a glass to its 30th anniversary with several limited-release beers, concerts, events and plenty of toasts throughout 2016.
Summit will celebrate the year with a record number of small-batch brews, including four 30th Anniversary Series beers and three Unchained Series releases.”
Here’s a look at the four limited release beers in the Anniversary Series:
Double IPA
Beer Description
Our Double IPA anniversary brew uses a highly aromatic experimental Orbit hop blend from New Zealand and the new U.S. variety Equinox. For a bold citrus and tropical fruit hop character worth toasting. Cheers to 30 years of independent thinkers and drinkers!
Flavor Notes
Bursting with tangerine, papaya and mango hop aroma. Pronounced yet smooth bitterness with malt background of toast, slight caramel and bready notes.
Keller Pils
Beer Description
Our 30th Anniversary Keller Pils is unlike any lager we’ve ever produced. This traditional unfiltered German Pils features malty-sweet and honey undertones from a classic heritage barley variety. A blend of traditional (Tettnang) and modern German hop varieties (Hallertau Blanc, Huell Melon) offer up balanced bitterness with spicy floral notes and a hint of citrus.

West London-Style Ale
Beer Description
“For our third entry, West London-Style Ale, we received a little help from our friends across the pond. This medium-bodied, floral ale features the unique flavor attributes associated with Maris Otter, perhaps the most famous heritage malting barley available to brewers today. Here’s to three, full-flavored decades of sharing quality brewing ingredients with quality beer lovers. Cheers!”
Flavor Notes
Bready, floral flavor with noticeably dry hops and biscuity undertones. Aromas of loganberry, redcurrant, grapefruit and lime.
Barleywine
We are all anxiously waiting the release of the 4th and final brew in the 30th Anniversary Series.
