Anheuser-Busch: From Seed to Sip
Fresh water is a finite source. According to the US EPA, 70 percent of the Earth is covered with water and only 1 percent of that water is available for human consumption. But, did you know an average American home uses around 100 gallons of water a day? That’s a lot of water. At Anheuser-Busch, we work to conserve water during every step in the brewing process.
- Seed – Our goal is to identify barley varieties that use 40% less water.
- Agriculture – We work with 1,000 barley growers in the US to conserve water.
- Watershed – In 2013, 1,300 employees and consumers volunteered to improve rivers and lakes.
- Brewery – We’ve reduced water use by 32% over the last 5 years.
- Sip – From Seed to Sip, our beers are using less water than ever before.
