If you enjoy the finer things in life, including different styles of craft beer, you’re going to want to update your glassware collection. Different beer glasses are designed to preserve the bold flavors and powerful aromas of your favorite craft-style brews, allowing you to enjoy your beverage’s character to its fullest extent. We’ll go over a few essential beer glasses you might need for your collection, starting with the pilsner glass.
Pilsner Glass – Pilsner glasses are designed to hold a variety of Pale Lagers and Pilsners. Its tall, slender form easily demonstrates a brew’s full color and carbonation, while the broader top helps the brew retain a medium sized beer head. Because of its narrow shape, the pilsner glass holds less beer than your average pint glass (16 oz.).

  • Kona Longboard Island Lager

Pint Glass – Pint glasses are the most common beer glassware out there, easy to store and stack. Standard pint glasses have two sizes – 16oz. US Tumbler and the 20oz. Imperial. This almost cylindrical glass tapers off towards the top forming a wide-mouth. You can drink almost any style of beer in a pint glass, which best suits English Ales, Pale Ales, Red Ales, Lagers, etc.

Strange Beer Glass – The strange (meaning “stick” in German) resembles a Tom Collins glass. This long, slender glass holds about 6 oz. It’s designed to hold more delicate beers, such as Kölsch or Bock, while bringing out more distinct hop and malt flavors. Though the strange glass looks like a regular drinking glass, its shape allows the drinker to really taste the brew, amplifying flavor quality.
